Bear/Needles and Sup awesome . . .learned that the "other side" was not as good early!!! Too bad, because the cream cheese, and early start before lifts put 'on hold' was amazing . . . no ROTD - they were all incredible at Bear/Needles/Sup
By the way, I put my 'on the fence' report up from the Sky Peak quad with no readers - not bad
Edit: Added report:)

Arrived late after being called off for the Bum Races. More coffee and breakfast treat.
Was warned by a club member that it was beginning to set up at the higher elevations. If it still had loose granular it was fine, but on my trip to the top of Northridge, Rime and Reason seemed a bit firm (got ice skates?). Beyond that most skied well. Upper mountain cloud / fog made the steeper terrain a challenge.
Tomorrow may be a BIG bust if the moisture and temps remain as predicted. 14 I think it said for a high with wind and new precip as snow. The HIGH for Friday is single digit. :(
Clouds were trying to clear as the wind helped to speed things along. Summit temperature of thirty degrees with five inches of new snow that had been soaked by the r*in. Cascade had been groomed early so the surface was like day old pudding. A little crusty on top with lots of creamy soft just below. Canyon quad was running allowing access to the North Ridge trails. Parking lot was empty due to the weather forecast and the ski bum race being cancelled. Another one of those private country club like days that happen here at Killington a few times during the season. We skied an open Highline practicing turning on what was the best race surface we have had all year. K1 Gondi went on wind hold for a few minutes as the last big blast seemed to roar thru. Repeated with another Highline as it won our vote for ROTD. Never made it past Superstar but those who started over there relished about the soft snow without any crust.

Quote of the Day – Some days it really pays off just to show up.
cream cheese was more like day old icing by the time we got to it...banged out over 16k vertical in 2 hrs...tired today...c/b a beer/whiskey factor involved there too...
