it’s delusional to think the restaurants at Killington are great.

Who said the restaurants are great? What we've been discussing is which restaurant is better than the others.

And just what exactly do you expect from a place that has sustainable business levels only 4 month a year, is subject to the whims of the weather, has trouble finding employees, and is 15th place in line for quality ingredients?

However, if you know where to look, you can wash down that un-great food with some of the best beer in the world.

I like Lookout, it's good for what it is. Choices, I've had good and bad, I'd go back, but somewhat indifferent. Birch Ridge Inn - nice atmosphere, mediocre food at best. No desire to go back, not worth the price at all.

Off mountain, Red Clover is great, if I could afford it I'd eat there every night. I get there 2-3x a year, never had a bad meal. Great cocktails too. Roots in Rutland is also very good, locally sourced, etc. There's other good options in Rutland. It's ridiculous to me that Rutland has better restaurants than the access road. (Table 24, Little Harry's, and that pizza/brew pub whose name I don't recall)

Pretty much every restaurant on the road is supplied by Sysco. It’s ALL the same sh*t. Comparing Moguls to Casey’s is futile. Just choose your preference of 80’s decor, 90’s presentation, and sh*t service.

Credit to Preston’s and Highline Lodge for trying to step up the game.

Rod Stewart at Choices will bring you tuna tartare in a martini glass. Patrick Bateman would be proud.

It's unfortunate that you come in here and trash the locals without, as far as we know, doing any background on the restaurants and chefs.

How many of the access Road places have you actually eaten at.

How many of the Access Road chefs have you actually spoken to about how they prepare their meals and where they get their ingredients from.

I bet the answer is probably zero or close to it.

I have been to just about every restaurant on the access road and locally over the last 20 years. I own a place in Killington and spend a lot of time there year round. My opinion is that they generally are of low quality and offer poor service. Whether or not I’ve spoken with the chef is irrelevant. Chef Claude may try really hard and think he’s doing a great job but his time has passed. If you don’t like my opinion that’s fine, but it’s delusional to think the restaurants at Killington are great.

And just maybe the “locals” need trashing. It’s a big world out there. Maybe they should open their eyes and take a look. A restaurant in a big old train? Ok...

Man o man....you must leave 'em in stitches at office parties...FYI?...I've got double the number of years here,,,, seen every place there is...ate a some..NOT most. Claude is unmatched for bang fer buck on the K rd....and the locals LOVE doing the hang at the back bar... if...as you've eluded to..its not your scene?... its sorely evident... Choices is a FAR better place in your absence.

Thank you...I shall. AS a foodie ...AND a very good cook?....I'm more than comfortable with my take on food...and clever workups in my beloved K kitchen. FYI?....soup n salad...never go out of style. They are internationally timeless... a true prelude to a meal forthcoming. As has been echoed for decades?...thats why Howard Johnsons has 28 flavors... something for everybody. Enjoy your....whatever... may it satiate your appetite and fill yer belly.

They've always had good food. If it wasn't your taste, so be it. That's why there's more than one restaurant to choose from.

Good to know, I’ll definitely give them a second chance. Such a nice setting, I hope it’s much better than my first time there. Anyone can have a bad day/meal.
