Re: New Gondola Box's
Anyone else note that it appears they retained the old "cable grippers" for the new cabins?
Goes to show, you don't never know
Watch each card you play, and play it slow
Don't you let that deal go down
Don't you let that deal go down
Looks like its going down no matter what I do !!!

As long as they pass inspection and are up to date on their NDT, why not? I would guess any wear and tear pieces that are worn, get replaced when they get disassembled,Captain Hafski wrote:Anyone else note that it appears they retained the old "cable grippers" for the new cabins?

Grips are expensive and L-P has moved on from this design anyway. Not sure you can get all new grips of this vintage, they probably just overhaul them. Had they gone to the new style grips, that would have required changing out hardware in the terminals to match the new design (IE higher cost and a lot more downtime). If it makes you feel better, Loon did the same with their new cabins this year in reference to the grips.Captain Hafski wrote:Anyone else note that it appears they retained the old "cable grippers" for the new cabins?
