Funny thing today as I was heading towards Mouse Trap, a young lady asked me is this Bunny Buster and is it blue? I told her yes and today it was definitely skiing as a blue but told her to stay away from the middle because under that snow is wide patch of ice.

No more booting up in K1???

Any pictures of what exactly the footprint is?

Construction of the new K-1 base lodge will begin later this spring, with plans for it to open during winter 2020-21. Once complete, the new three-story lodge designed by Breadloaf will be over fifty percent larger than the existing lodge (going from 37,000 sq. ft. to 58,000 sq. ft.) and include a full-service bar, upscale fine china dining, additional space, and unobstructed 180-degree views of the beautiful Vermont mountain landscape. The building will feature many of the characteristics that make the Peak Lodge such a desirable destination for Killington visitors including an open floor plan featuring mixed seating arrangements, floor-to-ceiling windows, a grandiose fireplace, and an upscale food court set to offer fresh, farm-to-table cuisine.

I had the same first thought.... I was hoping to see a “big space for booting up and cubbies for bags” but who knows if that is included somewhere? Does not sound like it is...

There's a free bag check listed, don't know how you missed that part.

Not mentioned in the Vermont Biz article.

I'm fine with it either way - I find it funny when you go out west - no boot bags anywhere - it's a New England tradition..........

BUTT - no bags means no BYOLunch - another New England tradition...........

Mike said the bottom floor would have retail and lockers. He probably said bag check too but not sure.

Agreed, a free bag check is much better.

To add to this drivel: For the K1 lodge, that will take app. two years to build, they will start this summer building part of it on the parking lot side of the current lodge. They will somehow enclose it for the winter. So, the current K1 lodge will remain in use, as it is, through next winter. Then, next year, they tear the old girl down and join the construction with the part they will build this summer.

One of the ideas is to have the new lodge be at the same 'elevation' as the K1 gondi [instead of having to walk up to it, and then down to the gondi ???
