Force majeure would seem to apply. Kudos to K for caring more about customers than their legal rights.

But you know how it is. Killington could hand out free money and people would find something to bitch about. I mean that is kind of what's happening here if you think about it.

So if you buy a 356 Pass and they don't operate until December 2021, you won't get charged?

Yup, I used to tease a woman at work "Thelma, if the world was perfect you'd complain that there's nothing to complain about" (of course, then she'd smack me)

Anyone actually tried to go on to their Killington account and use their voucher? Looks like the website is only semi functional. There is an option to use your voucher for the 365 pass, but not on anything else. Found my voucher number but no way to use it to apply to renew my full season pass. Still a work in progress.

I was going to try looking today. But no rush I guess... we have until July 15.

Did you see a voucher for the K tickets too? (We also had a few of those). I’m wondering if we need to present the physical K Ticket or if is all computerized?

Edit / Update: I logged in and found vouchers for all unused K Tickets, but not for our passes. I'll wait a bit while they work out the bugs, or I assume a phone call will take care of all of it.

I was able to renew my pass with the voucher. I found out that I was able to apply the voucher multiple times on the website at the checkout! But only one discount actually applied and I was billed correctly on my credit card.

SPORE wrote:Impressive? How about lacking.

Works out to a 15% refund for Adults, while Vail has provided a minimum 20% refund. I didn't see any mention of what happens in case of an early closure next year, only mention a refund before Nov. 20.

Seems like they're too busy making videos plugging BudLight to figure out all the details. Typical Killington.

It is great they will not bill the 365 pass for any month they are not able to open, but one other possible scenario came to mind... what if Killington is able to open, but the pass essentially can't be used by someone from out of state because of the 14 day quarantine order? I wonder if they will suspend charges for non Vermont residents in that situation... or perhaps would on a case by case basis.

Obviously this will evolve and we will see what the situation is before the purchase deadline, but it will be a question worth asking.

They gave me a voucher for every K ticket I had left, even ones I already printed. I didn't have to do anything to get them to show up on the site. Very nice Killington.
