"plan on making reservations online, in advance, to ski and ride here whenever we are open, with check-in upon arrival to get a lift ticket (both pass holders and ticket buyers) so we can control exactly how many people are at Magic to meet our capacity restrictions."
"Season pass holders will be provided the first opportunity to reserve spots at Magic up to a certain day each week (example: unlimited reservations available for pass holders through Tuesday of each week for all upcoming ski days--then on Wednesdays reservations will be opened up to just day ticket buyers). So a bit more advanced planning will be needed. "Same-day" reservations to ski will be allowed if there is still capacity available that day for both season pass holders and day ticket customers. Weekdays (Thursdays/Fridays) will not be a capacity issue here so those days should be closest to normal with plenty of space available inside and out. Also early season pre-Christmas is typically less crowded, so capacity shouldn't be any issue then at Magic."
Wow . . .just wow . . What a clusterfck in the making . .

Not sure if Magic has RFID (I'm guessing no), but with the RFID system, I'd think that passes could be set to "active" or "not active" based on having made reservations. It would at least eliminate the "check-in" upon arrival.
This season being FUN will be dependent on huge natural snowfall.

Can that RFID pass be attached via a wicket???
On the topic of reservations, what's the downside to a season pass holder for reserving every day of the week/month/season?
Never argue with idiots. They will bring you down to their level, then overwhelm you with their experience.

It looks like they have it set up so that you can only reserve through the Tuesday of the following week, so reserving the whole season wouldn't be possible (at least at once) is how I read it.

Not me. I like skiing midweek so I usually arrive on Thursday, ski Friday-Monday or Tuesday(if conditions are great) and then head home to flatlands for a few days to take care of things there. I've also spent whole weeks up there during the winter (sometimes going to Stowe for a few days to ski there).

Regardless of which day of the week you go up, it could still be in violation of Vermont's travel and quarantine requirements if you are from one of the red or yellow counties in the chart.

That's my understanding too, as this previously exception for daytripping no longer seems to be posted:
"Commuter (day trip) traffic to and from Vermont by those who travel daily between Vermont and adjacent states is authorized for essential travel (e.g. essential work, healthcare, groceries) and currently authorized daily work, family visitation, or recreation."
... except under a subsection on "Construction" (which says a lot about how confusing, contradictory, and changing this all is).
