Expanding on viewtopic.php?style=3&p=494458#p494458 from 2013. UT is no longer my top state in terms of total resorts. 47 different ski areas... more ski areas than years skiing!
spanky wrote: Jan 17th, '13, 16:44 I'm able to recall 37. Although, some are defunct and some aren't really ski areas. Nice to see I've skied more areas in UT than any other state.

Having driven past this many times, it's always been on my bucket list. Looks like a fun place to ski and rarely seems packed. What did you think?

.. very few patrons .. decent pitch there .. like most Cascade areas, one needs strong knees to move the 'material' around.
Baker is definitely worth the effort. :like

Glancing again at the list .. nobody here has ever skied Aspen/Snowmass/Highlands ?
Shameful.

Some "odd" ones that haven't yet been mentioned:

Hickory, NY
West, NY: Although I did see someone else post this one, this was my "home hill" when I lived in Saratoga Springs. Used to join a bunch of tele skiers there on Wednesday evenings.
Snowshoe, WV. 1,500 vertical.
Wintergreen, VA
White Pass WA. Skied it spring 1980 while out on a job interview
Pine Hill, NJ
Elk Mountain, PA. 1,000 vertical and arguably, best in the "pocono" region. My college roomate's parents had a chalet at the base of the mountain there.
Goes to show, you don't never know

Here's my list since retirement in April 2011

I can't believe it's been more that a decade since I've skied Stowe or Sugarloaf or Whiteface or Aspen or Snowmass or Snowbird or Alta. I guess I've really been locked into the POWDR/MAX PASS/IKON Pass ecosystem. I'll have to rectify that post COVID.

OK, since there's only a slight chance I'd remember my all areas, how about weird lifts in NE I've taken...anyone else take the old bubble lift at Bobcat/Onset or the Jetson car at Mt Snow? I see a couple for Cranmore, did you ride the skimobile lift? And just to throw an "I'm old" mention, not just the newer trams at Jay Peak and Cannon, but also the originals?
