.. and her coaches letting her sit uncovered in the snow for 15 minutes sure didnt help. She has 3 disciplines to go. Why risk getting a chill? Get a race parka on her !!

Colby still has his best event coming up 🏅

and .. Lindsey Jacobellis .. finally 😎

It has to be tough skiing in the desert! The aerials shots make the place look like a wasteland. Cortina is a bit more picturesque to say the least.

I couldn't believe she sat on the side of the course for 25 minutes. You would think the course director would have told her to ski down to the bottom, it was a potential hazard

We sat here watching and H said the same thing. As touching and tragic (for Mikaela) as it was, would they have allowed anyone else to sit there like that?

It’s inexcusable and weak that we don’t have a single entry in some of these ski events
USSA needs to devise a better recruitment incentive.

.. and sure seems to be a lot of crying during these games. :dislike
Avery Brundage would be mortified to see how the Olympiad has devolved.

Mikeala has been on a pedestal all her life. I thought it was poor sportsmanship for her to sit there on the trail for so long.

Suck it up buttercup. There are hundreds of hard working racers who would be thrilled to get one world cup win.

It must be devastating to fail as she did, probably with the weight of her fathers passing and I imagine she put a lot of pressure on herself. Suffering is relative, there are so many people with way bigger problems than her.. hope she can get back on the horse

Russian doping. Isn't that a given at this point?

Gotta agree here. Pick your ass off the slope and go cry at the bottom. Pretty lame display.

glad to hear others thinking the same, it was just a 'bad look' for her. was half expecting a sled showing up with a couch and a counselor.
as i've read it, she wasn't actually on course anymore, off to the side on a training slope, but still...
also, wished she had came right out and said it, that she was representing the USA.
