What don’t you like about the conveyor load? IMO, there’s no downside. And, they minimize getting slammed in the back of the leg by a bad liftie bump.

one of my friends rode loon on a wet/mixed precip day and they got on the conveyor and the belt kept moving but they went nowhere and was just sliding. hes an expert rider and was pretty freaked out by it.

as for ramshead, i f*** hate that lift. i enjoy dabbling in the park (and those flat trees when conditions call for it) and would ride ramshead way more if they replaced that lift. but really, who the f*** thought it was a good idea to mix beginners and a fairly advanced park with multiple crossing lines in it? i wish it was possible to somehow cut a trail from the park back to the snowdon bubble. or put the park somewhere else. or add a second lift.

as for those who dont want a bubble because ...graffiti... holy f*** pearl clutching. go ride the snowdon triple then. avoid k1 and the skyeship gondi while youre at it. personally, im way more bothered by the bud light cans littered about than an occasional sticker or graffiti on a lift.

Good to hear that you're more bothered by an aluminum can on the ground that can easily be picked up as opposed to some piece of sh*t from Mountain Creek carving their initials in the bubble which can't be removed.

funny, i find beer cans from a decade ago in the trees from time to time in the summer. litter in nature > dumb graffiti on a chairlift.

I've been on the one at Vail. Really weird getting on that with a snowboard. Easier with skis. Really only an issue when there's a full load of people sliding on...

And more and more tame terrain at Rams has been given to Woodward in recent years. The solution IMHO is to use the banked acreage and built another trail south of and parallel to Timberline. They've already ruined Squeeze Play with the mountain bike sh*t. Then get all the park features off anything north of Timberline, no more cross traffic. Upgrade the lift. Then you can still accommodate the family and park traffic better.

The lift needs to (will be) replaced with a 6 or even an 8 bomb. Who knows when, I am hearing it's next on the list, possibly for 2023.

They had better get that order in ASAP. 2022 is already full on every manufacturer's schedule and 2023 will likely fill by the end of this season.

When the lift is built, I believe it should have golden bubbles and be called the Woodward Express. Powder already renamed a lift at Copper to that, though it's just a regular high speed quad.

No bubbles - just a regular 6 passenger chair. No need to give the trash a canvas to graffiti or scratch up like the Snowdon Six.

Ramshead needs a bubble chair because the current chair is very cold on cold days This might give beginners a nicer ride and they might then continue skiing and become the future generation of skiers.

i always forget about squeeze play, i never liked those woods beforehand (on a search for fresh snow i seemed to end up in streams instead... but thats coming from the person who every year ends up in the stream between the far right of the light and anarchy despite knowing better...) and i dont think ive been in since. the real tragedy is patsys and lowrider and those woods that shall not be named on the other side of ramshead (although that mtb bridge is convenient!)...

i like when the park is on mouse run early season with the beginner park on the trail skiers right of it, although it lacks the flow and length of timberline its made up for by not having to deal with that godforsaken lift. i wish it was possible to make an exit to the lower part of caper from timberline so you can get back to the snowdon lift - not to mention if a trail was cut to there that would open up the trees on the skiers left of caper further down from squeeze play. as for the easy street park - i think its vital that there is a beginner level park, and it belongs with the rest of the beginner terrain. if you can turn, stop, go flat and straight (easy for new skiers, very difficult for new snowboarders), and ride/ski in control, you can ride/ski beginner park. perhaps another trail is better for it than easy street, but it needs to be on the relatively flat side as too much pitch would make a beginner park dangerous as beginner park riders are just beginning to learn how to judge speed so they dont overshoot the landings.

most of the time, they face the wind. so much so that they reconfigured the ramshead lift and moved it from the actual peak to its current location due to frequent wind holds (and easier terrain).

how many days do you get per season because my name is all over that 100 day club poster in the k1 lodge... i might know a thing or two about which lifts are usually the coldest.
