Can't make this stuff up: Today's report includes "Natural Terrain includes . . . Panic Button and Needle's Eye".

The next line in the report talks about snowmaking focusing on areas like . . . Panic Button and Needle'sEye".

I can verify the guns were blasting on both of them yesterday.

gonna guess in the case of panic/needles, that he means "natural" in terms of being ungroomed.

On the plus side, perhaps due to a K-Zone recommendation from last year, they have added the planned lift times [start/stop] to the App info !

Was nice today when I wanted to check to see when they were closing South Ridge.

Best Snow Report yet:
Snow Reporter’s Update:

Good morning, all!

Temps are rising a bit today, bringing slightly milder conditions. We may see clouds this morning and partial sunshine peeking through. Flurries are in the forecast for later today and tonight, covering The Beast in a soft blanket of snow. Conditions are variable with a firm base.

We now have 4 terrain parks open. Lil’ Stash, Easy Street, Vale Yard, and Mouse Run. Conditions are great for takeoffs and landings; the new snow has groomed in well allowing for prime park laps. Overall, features are sliding well, and jumps are poppy. Check out our Killington Parks Report to find your favorite features.

I hope to see you on the hill!

-N

Weather:

Today is forecasted to be partly sunny with possible snow showers later in the day and continuing tonight. The temps range between 30 degrees at the base and 25 degrees at the Peak. Winds will be calm with no significant gusts.

Snowmaking:

We had guns running last night on Timberline, Middle and Lower Downdraft, Bear Cub, Ridgeview, Bear View, and Sun Dog.

Grooming:

Groomers were out last night on 65 trails leaving behind smooth corduroy. Click here for a detailed list of groomed trails.

Noticed a pretty major issue on Pico's website. They updated the snow report for tomorrow, saying that it's shaping up to be a great day. There's only one problem. Tomorrow is Tuesday, and Pico is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I checked the ticket availability and no tickets are available for sale for tomorrow. So there is definitely no Tuesday opening because of the holiday. In other words, they are potentially leading people to come to a mountain that isn't open.

Tonight's snow report was signed by Nina. Debating whether to come up tomorrow, no wind currently in the flatlands, just cold...

They now use a symbol of a fan gun to show snowmaking on the trail report. Baby steps to improvement.

It used to work on the App butt I just checked and it now is taking me to an 'error' page. So, yes the link is not working.

When it did work, all it did was take you to the 'normal' list of lifts and trails so you can still do that. I didn't take you to any special 'grooming' page.

The “view schedule” button for February is missing from the base lodge music schedule. Can’t tell who’s where when.
