not a single 35-49 woman competed in this? wild. guess i need to take up skiing since they wont allow snowboarders...
My wife noticed that, too and was pissed that she didn't do it this year. I thought I remembered snowboarders before, but you can't score points since they are evaluating skier-type stuff, like poll plants and hand positions. You should should do it anyway.

so if you are a 35 -49 year old woman and your not pumping out kids or have a career you are not a productive member of society? I know plenty of women that have chosen not to bring children into this f*** up world. They have different priorities. Should they be shunned for it? dont forget your club so you can knock some woman over the head and drag her back to your cave.

whats the excuse for the men?

i work full time, asshole.

and by the way, my service industry "dumb job" pays far more than my corporate office job requiring a bachelors ever paid. youre just jealous that i get more time on snow than you and can probably out ride you switch with my eyes closed. you bought into the lie of work a stupid corporate office job for 2/3 of you life so you might one day get to retire and do what you really want to do. because of the unique circumstances of my upbringing and the timing of when i was born and came of age during the second great depression, i knew in my heart that such a social contract was the biggest con job ive ever heard of. slave away the healthiest years of your life for some rich asshole to buy another yacht so one day when youre old and broken you can enjoy the few years you have left, if you dont drop from a heart attack or get hit by a bus beforehand... what a proposition. shocking i turned that down!

its unlikely ill get 100 days this year unless were open into june and i ride every day i can, but thats because i had two surgeries and a head injury this year and WORK FULL TIME. anyways, gotta go ride this little 4+ incher pow day before work, sucker!

friends of mine competed in past years but i believe the entire time ive been up here its closed to snowboarders and teleskiers (according to a tele friend). i did the practice course friday and had a blast - first and only time through, flawless execution although i could have gone bigger on the jumps. saturdays conditions sounded miserable and not something id want to subject myself to. would have been tempted to actually poach the contest if it was fridays conditions on saturday and i wasnt busy working.

im tempted to get better at skiing so i can get some participation trophies. if i got good enough to run gates on highline id get first (and only) in my class for ski bum on the ski side. if i got good enough for bumps on OL (much harder!) id also get first (and only) for BMMC. and thats in addition to my snowboarding successes lol. its not that im good, its that theres nobody else out there!

I've done it on a board in the past, the year of the Denial Cup (so there really were no rules). I have heard that it's been done in the past but can't confirm. First paragraph of registration says "Registration is open to skiers only and is limited to the first 150 registrants", I don't know if that eliminates tele-skiers. Poaching a course during a comp would be highly frowned upon, no matter how good you are.

This year was unusual for a few categories due to injuries (at least 3 females I knew with injuries) and Bust N Burn the same weekend at SR.

To clarify: BMMC divides up competitors by age and gender in the initial solo runs but only the top 32 men and top 16 women go through to the duals. There is no distinction in the final results by age. Thus, being the best in your age group only gets you very limited bragging rights. Nobody cares.
