Launchpad Supe

Post by Southside_Bobby »

From Sunday night's report:

"Trails including Superstar, Bittersweet and Skyelark will be closed April 14-17 and are slated to reopen via Launch Pad on April 18th conditions permitting".

Hoping this can include Panic/Needles down to the Crossover.

they've always done it. see no reason why not as long as the snow holds. i remember it being rotd many days after the needles lift closed last season, plus we'll have vertigo. it will be a hell of commute back to the K1 as opposed to supe but worth it to break up the day. sorta like the canyon hikes.

What makes us sure they won't light up the Needles chair on Friday?

More lifties and mechanics that they just as soon have somewhere else (like off payroll for the former) for a dwindling crowd.

i suggested that in yesterday's report. the limiting factor on the needle's runs is gonna be snowshed crossover.

just got a text from a friend who said they dropped the rope on launchpad and that you can now access ovation. so it's already begun.

When are they going to rename the crossovers back to how they should be IE Snowshed crossover being the Snowshed crossover and the currently marked Snowshed Crossover back to Northbrook Crossover? I did notice they put a Skyeship Lodge sign pointing down Carpenter's run this year.

There should be a "caution really flat" sign at CR for snowboarders. Stopped an ambassador from sending a bunch of inexperienced boarders that way a few years ago. That just would have been mean.

Yep - Hoping they start up the Needle's Eye chair for Friday and the weekend. Would be Beastly !

So much snow still on Vertigo; it's been ROTD as evidenced here on K-Zone quite a few times over the past few weeks. Still plenty of snow on Needle's Eye and Cruise Control. And, plenty left on Bittersweet to get you back over the ridge.

Bring it on !
Goes to show, you don't never know

Looks like its going down no matter what I do !!!

Just noticed on the snow report: "The Skyeship Gondola, Snowshed Lifts, Sunrise Triple, South Ridge Quad, and Superstar Express are closed for the season."

I thought this previously listed Skye Peak Express & Needles Eye Express as well...

Hopefully one more weekend of these... Currently dumping on the entire mountain...
