Why did you bother to read the thread if the subject matter does not interest you? Is it possible that you do not have anything else to do but to read posts in a chat room on a holiday. Did nobody invite you to any party? :(

I was severely chastised this weekend when asked this very question. I do not have the foggiest idea, nor even who it was by. Luckily I am off to Germany tomorrow for a week so the furor can die down (oh the irony of that statement)!

I remember a few years ago when the husband of a friend called all her girlfriends to find out if they remembered their wedding song. Apparently, he was going to be in big doo doo if he didn't remember the song.

For those of you who are married or were married in the past, what was the song that you chose for your first dance. SkiDork and I chose "All My Life" by Linda Ronstadt and Aaron Neville.

In my case looking all my life only took 15 years.
Our reception was just a typical family party , all the old people chasing each other around the house with bags of confetti. We still found that stuff every time we cleaned house for the next year! We have lots of old favorite songs and some new ones but there was no "wedding" song and only 3 photos! Then we drove to Maine in a blizzard and stayed in the Sheraton Tara and ordered room service for 3 days. Silly kids.
But now 38 years later we celebrate every February 24th with a SKI trip!! Skiing related story in July. YAYYYY!!!!

My folks are non-skiers. In fact I'm the only one in my family that skis. I've tried to get my folks out there, but they both claim to have had bad experiences on skis and will never try it again. My dad was taken to Wachusett by a couple of his buddies in college. First time out ever, rented all his sh*t at the mtn, straight to the top of Smith Walton (toughest run at Wachusett) and they left him on his own. Half way down, he took his skis off and walked. My mom tried skiing when she was little, and kept sitting down on the back of her skis. Didnt have the leg power to stay standing up. Neither will ever go again. In fact, they won't even come to the mountain and hang out...they hate cold weather. They are Florida beach bums now.

In our wedding album there is a picture of us dancing the first dance and above it is the name of the wedding song. Maybe you have the same thing in your album?
