Well, now that I've finally climbed Mt. Mansfield in the summertime, I realize how serious a mistake it would have been to attempt it by myself (or with inexperienced friends) in the winter time. There may be a way from the nose (tollroad) to the chin (highpoint) and back that isn't so bad, and it would have been a cool, tame BC experience, but it still would have been a pretty stupid thing to do by myself.
