yeah doesn't look like they can really start blowing again until wed nite or thursday at the earliest so whatever terrain we have now will be it for t-giving providing it doesn't melt down. we more or less get this weather pattern every year. good news is that forecasts look good after that. we gave up skiing t-giving weekend many years ago. fridays early are ok but after that it's survival skiing.

Damn damn damn, is it really that bad up there? :( That kinda bums me out a little. Ohh well, is the snow shitty right now? I think I'll be happy as long as there isn't mud anywhere...There isn't mud is there?

Take a chill Kev...I am sure the snow is still fine.

I will get a report from my cuz a little later on and post up about what is happening out there. But I doubt it's turned to all mud!

It is warm and sunny up here, great weather, but not for skiing or snowmaking. I saw a K employee this am and he said that at this time, there is no snowmaking in the next 7 day forecast...But hey folks, remember, this is Vermont!!! The weather can change by the minute!
Just keep dancing and keep the faith...

Pedro just called me from the lift. Trails he skied were groomed, but soft.

Cold temps are coming tonight so things will stiffen up nicely for tomoorow.

Yeah, I heard it was like 50 degrees up there right now. It sucks they can't make any more snow, but I'm just hoping they can hang on to what they have. Hopefully it will firm up nicely overnight!

Stormin' why no snowmaking though? Aren't night-time temps supposed to go down to the 20s?

hehe, just a little paranoid by nature. Taking some buddies up and it'll be their first time at a bigger resort. Just want them to have fun :)

It sounds like the rock skis need to be used unless more snow is made tonight.

From what he said, they want a 36 continuous hours of good temps for snowmaking... guess it isn't worth it to blow, melt, blow, melt... I guess they would rather put down a good base. I spent many years basing my weekend lifestyle on the weather... The BEach, Skiing, always depended on the weather... Since moving to VT I have never watched the weather channel because the weather here on the hill can be very different from only 12 miles away in Rutland... I just look out the window and plan my day accordingly.... So many weekends I stayed home in NJ when I thought it would be r*ining in Vermont,,, and then my friends would come home to tell me that it snowed... I say forget the weather if you are hanging out with people you like, you will have fun no matter what you are doing!
