As said, this weekend was damp and I was bummed that the weather scared many folks off. That said, those die hards that were there were very happy and the SB crew did a great job. Many, many folks could not believe I was skiing at all. Simply great that they opened....more reasons why I am a Sugarbush skier....

I skied there solo from 1-4 or so yesterday. Overcast but warm. Spring fling was sugarsnow and dirty/thin at the bottom. Nothing that you couldn't navigate around easily enough though
Skied Steins six times or so and spring fling a few as well. Didn't ski saturday as it was kinda nasty. Would of kiled to stay to last chair and hang, but I had to be somewhere in in rutty at 6

Who went to Sugarloaf to shred that gnar?

I was up there saturday and sunday. Kings, skidder and hayburner still have a ridiculous amount of snow, all three could go another week easy. In some areas the trees were still skiable. Candyside was getting thin with some brown starting to show through but nothing a little snow harvesting couldnt fix. The upper half of the spillway side had good cover, the lower side was getting thin. Ill add pictures tomorrow.

Good size crowd, with a number of day passes mixed in. You couldnt get a seat at the rack saturday afternoon. The band on the beach was good. The hotel was booked for an elks convention and the condos looked full.

I had hoped to see a bunch of crazed Kmart regugees in green shirts rippin it up in the May sun but YCAGWYW. The only ones in uniform were Geoff, D.T.E. and me but there were lots of Zoners around. Thanks Sbush for doing the right thing and teaching those losers down the road a little humility.

Thanks to all of you for venturing north. We really enjoyed having some fun and meeting new friends! I hate to say it, but I did put my skis away yesterday, went for a run this morning and took out the golf clubs today, but in less than 200 days we should have lift accessed skiing and riding again up here! Have a fun summer and don't forget that we have a bunch of fun stuff here in the warmer months as well.
