thank you SUGARBUSH!
closed the lift served portion of my season saturday at da bush with some runs with dr no, skiladi & g. great effort by win & da bush building runouts etc fot the runs, both of which were in very good shape. ton of snow still on stein's with huge bumps. felt bad for win that the weather didn't cooperate. sunday probably turned out to be the better day. in any case, enjoyed the the day and thanks again.

Re: thank you SUGARBUSH!
Didn't see you. I skied from 9:00 til 11:00 and bailed to go to my condo meeting. I saw Dr No and G-Smashed in the lodge on my way out. I will put some fog and r.a.i.n pix later. They pushed around a lot of snow and the bad spots from last Saturday were all repaired. I saw Win as I was buying my day ticket. Very different from the Killington experience. It is nice to feel like people actually appreciate my business and like the resort they work for.

Anybody go on Sunday?
Or was the nymphs party too much for you all last nite?

Nymphs' party was last night? I doubt anyone that went to it would have made it to any hill today.RustyK wrote:Anybody go on Sunday?

8:45 on Saturday in the parking lot

First run down Spring Fling. They had moved a lot of snow to cover the mud and rocks.

Some Steins shots

It was pretty wet after being out there for 2 hours

A dry Dr No. I'm sure he looked a little more damp later

Re: thank you SUGARBUSH!
Maybe Sunday was the pick day, in spite of the forecasts. Steins bumps look more rounded off - or is that an illusion?

Re: thank you SUGARBUSH!
An illusion. The degree of difficulty was unchanged from the previous Saturday. r*in-smeared goggles actually made it more difficult.Mister Moose wrote:Maybe Sunday was the pick day, in spite of the forecasts. Steins bumps look more rounded off - or is that an illusion?

Re: thank you SUGARBUSH!
Too bad that r*in spoiled your skiing a bit but hey at least you guys were skiing. At Iceman's baseball game today I was discussing Mother's Day with another mom and she asked what I would like to do on that day. I responded that if it was up to me I would be skiing but alas we need to be in the flatlands for social events so it's not to be this year.

yup those bumps come up a lot faster when you can't see 'em. i thought stein's was as tough as any bump run that i skied at k this year. other than skiers right ol, killington rarely let bumps set up like that this season.Geoff wrote:An illusion. my 1st wknd of May skiing ever ... Win is a class guy running a class operation, moving that snow around was awesome ... little details like a tube of sunblock 55 dangling from a cord for all to use, to the "Welcome Diehards" sign at the bar entrance ... all the employees are friendly and the valley on a whole has a great vibe ... when I came in at days end on Saturday, I saw a few familiar zoner faces but wanted to gear down, unfortunately, upon my return to the bar, everyone was gone ... recognized no one while there on Sunday ... yes, the weather could have been better, seems like early April had more spring/summer-like days than as of late, but it's always great to be able to get out and ride the planks no matter what's going on ... Thanks to the Sugarbush staff for allowing us to get some extra days in!
