Two Dead After Three Shootings at BBQ's

Jul 11, 2005 9:44 am US/Eastern

Two men are dead after separate shootings at three cookouts yesterday in Jamaica, Queens, and the East New York section of Brooklyn.

Police say that hundreds of young people were dancing in the street when Leroy Segar was killed while standing next to his girlfriend on Jerome Street in East New York. He was days from his 18th birthday.

At one of two Jamaica shootings, 31-year-old Kirk Neufville was killed by an assailant who police said drove off in a gold Lexus.

At least three others were wounded in the shootings.
