It's reassuring to see Powdr showing its true colors again after (almost) successfully snowing people over the past few months.

Reaffirms my faith in warranted cynicism.

Oh, and I just LOVE the furious comment-nuking over on Facebook. Smells just like 2007 and 2008 and 2009 and...

the thing is , all of the complainers and whiners here are, for the most part , going to go back and purchase their season passes again next year... that's why some of the complaining about this is a bit stale and dubious... i ll ex out the jersey jerk cause we all know he doesn't really ski anyway and just lives by pluggin himself into his usb port every day....
I quit giving them up front season pass money 5 years ago when it became pretty apparent ( at least to me ) that they were headed in a direction that was not good for the spring skier ( the only time to ski .. at least for me and my family ) ....have i given them money this year?.. yes i have , when the conditions and time suits me ... i ski there about 30 % of the time for free anyways so that is really kind of moot....the point is i stopped ( before i was skiing there for free on occasions ) giving them money because i didn ' t like what they were doing....if just 25% of the complainers put their money where their mouth is and didn't buy any season passes for next year, THAT, AND ONLY THAT, would get nyberg's attention.. would it cause them to make such a profound shift in the approach to the end of the season.. i can't say for sure , but i know that my person on the inside seems to think so.... but that is not going to happen... they know there is a certain amount of people who will get the wool pulled over their eyes with foolish MARKETING like the beast and all that nonsense....they send out nyberg and th and their " people " to the community meetings and the " vested interested " owners " and sell them their BS ... some partake....some don't ... i stopped , like i said , 5 years ago....tired of having smoke blown up my ass only to figure out , it's all about the money....reading some of the views of people here about how they are and or might just be " getting it " has been hilarious the last 2 years.... they get it allright... they get theirs on the balance sheet.. at the end of the season... and they will continue to due so.... does anyone with a straight face actually believe their own righteous ranting about the early close in these economic times... does anyone out there actually work in the private sector and know there is no love or philisophical compassion in business today.... when mickey cochran was spinning the rope tow , yes it was about passion ....them days are long gone....and they won't be back until something gets the attention of the guys who run things right now and that is nyberg and TH.....it is laughable beyond words to think that some sort of litigation could be brought against them because they shut it down ... they can easily defend that....i couldn't disagree more with what their ( the company) postion would be about snow quality degradation.. but that is beside the point....everyone on this site is a sick bird skier....( again x out a few morons ) 90% of the " skiers " in the general population would think conditions of the past month have sucked....and the hill could easily sell that subjective ( again i think it 's not correct ) view.....

Did tellitlikehewishesitwas say something?

Anyhoo, check it out: Tommy Boy tried to change the subject -- or tried to bump the now-thoroughly-flame-broiled "we're closing early" post off their front page, your pick -- by posting a Killington-friendly abcnews.com article on Facebook:

http://www.facebook.com/killingtonresort

(Suffice it to say, it didn't work, like most everything else K-Marketing does.)

Too bad you can't get Nyberg's email address....

But you can find his daughters...

Abbi Nyberg, U.S. Snowboarding Program Manager

[Contact information removed by admin. Family is off limits. However, since she's a "public" person, if her info is public, post the link.]

Could never be as cool as you. Maybe they have some relatives with Cancer and you could post their info also, or at least find their contact info. Anyway assh0le, Nybers's email is the same as anyone else's at Killington, maybe someone could show you how to figure that out. Probably not.
