You still planning on doing the half marathon this weekend? If so, best of luck.

Steve,
I would like to put our differences aside and wish you the best of luck in this run. I have done many long distance runs and would like to pass on some pointers that I hope can help.
* Never needed this in a 1/2 marathon, but it did help me in a marathon; if your legs start cramping up, run backwards. This way you will be using different muscles and the cramping will go away. If you trip and fall no need to worry, your gut will save you.
* Very important, if you start feeling any pain in your arms or chest, be sure to increase your speed as much as possible. This will increase blood circulation and make the pain go away.
* I estimate that you should be able to finish this race in 2.5 hours(best case) for you I realize that it will be hard to resist eating somethin. Dude you gotta do it. If you don't you may choke on food as your running.
That's about all I have for now. Any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
Your friend,
Andyzee
ps, been nice knowing you.

Interesting, the TGR fixation some have. Why is that?Steve wrote:someone said the same thing to edg (on tgr) a couple of weeks ago.Hal U.
