that new pavement plus the new bridge in woodstock took the entire summer and alot of money.keram wrote:well done state of vermont. this was my first trip up this year and wb - killington chunk is awesome. Why don't they extend it back to woodstock?
Yep, the new pavement on parts of the Vail road and the bus route through the middle of upper Snowshed parking are things of beauty.Mister Moose wrote:Nice new stretch of pavement from Chester to Ludlow too.
Is it me, or is there something wrong when the most exciting thing going on this year is pavement?
paving, so cool... even easier now to go 35+ mph and get a ticket.Mister Moose wrote:Nice new stretch of pavement from Chester to Ludlow too.

yes! i prefer the midweek laid back thing and it is fun.... as long as snowmaking is decent, i'll be happy... I'll remain optimistic (for snowmaking/grooming)johnny the jibber wrote:we have fun up there everynight, all winter. its almost ridiculous...
I would LOVE to have the rest of rt4 paved from Bridgewater into Woodstock Village, as this is where I live, and frequently drive, But i'd much rather see the funding for that go to fixing and replacing the bridge on 100a! That entire situation is downright ridiculous, it is projected to be dealt with in another 7-10 years... Yet the temporary bridge they finally set up, (which has been set up for over a year) after the old bridge was limited to only 12 tons for a year or two, is just that a Temporary bridge, not a replacement for over a decade. Having a 1 lane bridge setup for all that live down there, or people such as myself that frequent that area, is crazy for over 12 years, just waiting for funding, and waiting for "our turn".gpetrics wrote:that new pavement plus the new bridge in woodstock took the entire summer and alot of money.keram wrote:well done state of vermont. this was my first trip up this year and wb - killington chunk is awesome. i've heard some rumors that you can expect bridgewater->woodstock next summer.
Don't feel bad, at least they finished. Rt 100 south of Ludlow has been under construction since June and is still not finished.gpetrics wrote:that new pavement plus the new bridge in woodstock took the entire summer and alot of money.keram wrote:well done state of vermont. this was my first trip up this year and wb - killington chunk is awesome.
