I think I speak for all of us who cant be there....
it is truly killing me not being able to help out in K-town.
I love that place, so many great memories, so many great freinds I have met over the years.
Ya Im really only up in the winter and get up there now and then in the off season but I consider Killington my second home and always will.
Thanks to everyone on Kzone for keeping me in the loop with all your reports, videos and pictures...If I cant be there in person at least I can be there in spirit. Stay strong KTown...

Well put BoozeTan... I've been thinking the same myself...
Don't Killington Pico
Re: I think I speak for all of us who cant be there....
Agreed BoozeTan. For those of us who can, try to get up there and spend some money (and bring supplies). Gotta keep the economy going too.
Never argue with idiots. They will bring you down to their level, then overwhelm you with their experience.

I am feeling the same way. I have worked at Killington Part Time for the past 8 years and live full time in Saratoga Springs, NY. Killington has so many good memories for me. It is where I met my wife and we were married there last October. The damage, the suffering, and everything else the local residents have to endure has been eating at me all week. I hurt for all the business people who this will effect. When the damage occured I felt as part of me was damaged as well. My heart and prayers go out to everyone in Killington. I know things will get better and the community will rebuild.

Well said Boozetan - you expressed my sentiments perfectly.

Yep- you spoke for me too, Boozetan.
I've been going there for 25 years and every report out of there only confirms what I've learned about the people of Vermont:
Kind, generous, self sufficient and tough as nails. The fortitude that comes out of long, cold winters. Cut off from the rest of the world? Vermonters have town barbecues and ship supplies to other towns who are also cut off.
A big "Hang in there, We're thinking of you" to all our friends up there, the Big K, and all of Vermont.

Agree 100%....exactly the reason why we love it there so much. We are so impressed with the way the whole town has joined together and taken charge of a terrible situation. Other states should learn from your example. All the systems/procedures put into place over a matter of days is absolutely AMAZING! It is hurting us as well not to be able to be there. Vermont is always in our hearts.HelmetCam wrote:Yep- you spoke for me too, Boozetan.
