Opening Day Trail Roll-out
Thought this might be a fun speculation thread. K has said they'll open with multiple routes down. It seems they'll have the cold to do so by the 14th.
Obviously GN-Bunny through Snowdon. Probably Killink and Mouse Run to get the 6pack running. Maybe Chute TTB? I would also imagine the typical Rime/Reason on North Ridge. Maybe Lower East Fall and the runout if we're lucky. I can see Downdraft Headwall getting forgotten as there's no real incentive to blow for too long at just the peak if there won't be a stairs season.

I'm thinking this is about right... likely the pod of trails around snowdon and north ridge chairs, plus GN to connect it all together...
I wonder if they will take the bubbles off of the 6 pack.

One ski area that opened the other day already hit the ticket sale limit.

People want to ski I guess....even on 250 ft. vertical.

They should def get Cascade or Dipper and lower East Fall open. That would open much needed early season steeps along with the Canyon Quad. Get the Box, Bubble, Canyon Quad, and North Ridge lifts open. That would be a pretty good number of lifts to spread out the early crowds.

I keep getting this sinking feeling that it's going to be an utter disaster this year with yuuuge amounts of people coming up.RustyK wrote: ↑Oct 29th, '20, 13:26 One ski area that opened the other day already hit the ticket sale limit.

My golf course is running at 300% more tee times reserved than last year. Everyone wants outdoor activities right now! Gotta book 2 weeks in advance if you want a tee time.easyrider16 wrote: ↑Oct 29th, '20, 15:03I keep getting this sinking feeling that it's going to be an utter disaster this year with yuuuge amounts of people coming up.RustyK wrote: ↑Oct 29th, '20, 13:26 One ski area that opened the other day already hit the ticket sale limit.

It will be interesting to see how the reservation systems end up working at the different resorts and how that might affect the season.Stormchaser wrote: ↑Oct 29th, '20, 15:08My golf course is running at 300% more tee times reserved than last year. I'm hoping for The Outer Limits to be one of the first to open.

Outer Limits is always open. It's just whether you want to ski it or not

Anybody concerned by the lack of mowing? The GE is still covered in brush 3 feet tall. No skyeship this year?

Re: Opening Day Trail Roll-out
Yeah. We saw the same thing up here in VT this year w.r.t. golf courses and record numbers of peeps out there. Although we have the 365 pass, we usually do some day trips [e.g., on Saturday to avoid the Killington golf sh*t show] and were shocked to see courses that are normally pretty empty, having tee times booked all day through late afternoon.Stormchaser wrote: ↑Oct 29th, '20, 15:08My golf course is running at 300% more tee times reserved than last year. Re: Opening Day Trail Roll-out
You'll see East Fall before either of the other two because it requires far less snow.skibikeclimbguy wrote: ↑Oct 29th, '20, 14:58 They should def get Cascade or Dipper and lower East Fall open.
