Hey captain? I got a flat head screw driver. Would you like to go sit on it? This is not for marketing.
Re: Group Trip to Kitzbuhel and Innsbruck
I'm inclined to let this stand. Even if it is marketing, it's still beneficial for the killington community. I'll wait for any opinions from my fellow admins.
Never argue with idiots. They will bring you down to their level, then overwhelm you with their experience.

Not an admin but I like it!!
Maybe add a trips category to the existing section for marketing?
So it could be ‘Share, Rentals, Sales and Trips’.

Captain Jack isn't a marketer, he's a Killington local trying to organize a trip for Killington people to get them group discounts. This is the first year he's done it, and he reached out to a bunch of us offline first. Not sure if he's even making any money on the deal.

Goes to show, you don't never know
Watch each card you play, and play it slow
Don't you let that deal go down

Looks like its going down no matter what I do !!!

Have fun! Recommended:
- Ski all the lines off the top of Steinbergkogel, particularly under the chair by the snow fences; few do, snow can be preserved and therefore, excellent
- Check out and ski the Streif, perhaps the most reknown "ski trail" in the world; begin at the starthouse and with speed... jump the Mausfalle, if you dare
- Ride the Hahnenkamm Gondola and see all the names of race winners on each car (only American is Daron Rahlves)
- Go to Huberbrau-Stuberl in the awesome town and drink Huber's good beer and eat the good food (he left the home country as a college-aged kid and spent a few years in Sun Valley decades ago)
- Just be awestruck and amazed by the lift infrastructure of a sprawling resort that flies you around everywhere and which embarrasses any of the best parts of the best ski areas in New England, combined (I'd go just for this; also, you might ride empty 8- and 6-packs, run after run, if you ski up at Resterhohe)
- Jump up on the bar at the Londoner like the DH winners do and spray the crowd with Champagne!

Re: Group Trip to Kitzbuhel and Innsbruck
I'm sorry if anyone saw my post as marketing—that was never my intent. I simply wanted to share an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in joining a fun group travel experience. This isn’t a business venture; I’m not making any money from this. In fact, I’ve personally taken on expenses to make this possible. For me, the real reward is seeing people enjoy themselves and knowing I helped make that happen.
This all began when I joined a group trip with 50 members of the Electric Boat Ski Club from Connecticut to the Dolomites and Rome. It was an incredible experience; we made new friends, had a fantastic time, and got an amazing group deal. Since then, I’ve traveled often, and people often ask why they weren't invited on some of my trips. Many are eager to travel but don’t have companions to go with. This sparked an idea: there are a lot of people who love travel and are looking for others to join them.
When the EB Ski Club planned a trip to Japan for this February, they initially struggled to fill spots, and I knew at least 15 people who would have loved to go. However, joining their trips required being an EB employee or a guest. But, if we were an official ski club, we could join through their travel agency partner, Ski.com. So, I formed a ski club! When the Japan trip filled up, people started asking if I could organize another trip.
This led to the creation of a group designed for adventurous, outgoing people who want to travel, have a great time, and enjoy the benefits of group travel—from forming connections to exploring new destinations with like-minded people. With input from many, we decided on Kitzbühel and Innsbruck as our first destination, since it’s on the Ikon Pass and relatively undiscovered for some in our group.
So, off to Kitzbühel we go!
And as for the screwdriver, I’ll take the big Phillips head, please.
