Re: sad very sad!!!!
A lot of stores and businesses closing up in the past few months. What makes this any sadder then Linens and Things, Circuit City, KB Toys, CompUSA, etc...? I guess cause this one made it through the last Great Depression. Nothing against any kids of any age on here but... If it was the last "...

Building a afordable ski house
Seeings it's a buyers market regarding land due to financing, do you think you could build a real house, not a yurt, a tent, etc.. but a well built home for under 150,000 within 10 miles of a major resort anywhere on the east coast? Sort of like how things were from the 50's thru 70's when families ...

Re: No more free wings on the hill
I usually eat a few wings along with a burger/sandwich and a few beers. I'm not giving my money to anyplace that stopped doing free wings. No free wings I'll walk out and get a sandwich at the market. No beer, no burger, and not my usual 40% tip on the tab. I'm not cheap, you want to be cheap with ...

Mount Snow report.
Just got back from Mount Snow. Probably close to 70 and a bluebird day. The North Face is holding up well. Ripcord is open covered in nice soft spring bumps. Chute, Free Fall and Fallen Timbers are open with more then what you would expect in spring. The front side is holding up well on some of the ...

I think I'm going to call the state department of consumer affairs tomorrow and bitch about that. Is that false advertising? here is the VT statute. § 2005. False advertising A person, firm, corporation or association, or an agent or employee thereof, who, with intent to sell courses of instruction ...

Buzzkill, I have to say this because I hate seeing Giuliani getting credit for something he had nothing to do with. Bill Bratton brought down subway crime, mostly by revitalizing a beaten down police force. He was the chief of police for the NYC Transit Police Department before Giuliani was mayor. S...

They'd probably stay open later if someone actually showed up. I've been there quite a bit during the week. Last week it was a bluebird day and the place had less then 50 people on the hill. There was edge to edge coverage the North Face was golden. There was still snow in the trees. Ripcord was fan...

The victim was a kid that lived in town, he was a cook at a local bar that is the afterwork hangout for the mountain crowd, it's actually one of the few bars in town where there is a pretty good chance that the guy or gal serving you drinks is either a instructor or patroller. Its a great dive to me...

I was going to say why hike, but that's not fair as I earn my share of turns and enjoy every minute of it. But why deal with the BS and remind yourself that some of the biggest losers on the planet now on Killington. Just drive south and you can ski on a few feet of base. People have told me not to ...
