Re: SkyeShip Gondala > Number of busted chairs..
I ski sugarbush/Ellen/smuggs 2-3 weekdays a week and make it down to Killington about one every two weeks. I have ~40ish ski days his year, 8 of them at K. Understaffing is an issue across the board, Bush just shutdown heavens gate-- equivalent to K closing canyon and going superstar and Snowden on...

Re: Stowe Announces Pay Parking Plan
This sucks but makes sense, vast majority of folks come south from Waterbury up to Stowe from 89, access road is always a sh*t show. Stowe also has less parking compared to K. Killington may expand more preferred parking around k1 and lower snowshed/ram. Skyeship and Bear will remain free for the fo...

Re: Killington Ranked Best Ski Area in Vermont
What is the appeal to the priority bay 1 and 2 year passes. Bear can get u just as close as Bay 1 and closer than Bay 2. Not even being a dick just curious what people prefer about k1.

Re: Six Peaks Killington
I heard this project will be starting shortly after the Parker’s Gore expansion and Killington Pico Interconnect are achieved. Wouldn’t expect longer than 6-8 weeks!

Re: 22/23 Season Passes
Not sure about an age requirement but they do require proof of a full 13 credits to qualify for the pass. It’s very good especially for a student from say Castleton. Schedule accordingly and you can easily ski 50 days. UVM offers a 350 mrg-bush pass too which students also enjoy.

Re: Thursday 02/24/2022 Report
/\ If you say so .. Which Teton have you skied ? Doug Coombs out. :Toast I’ve skied both LLC resorts (Alta-Bird). Targhee and Jackson Hole for the Tetons. IMO I found Jackson Hole and Snowbird to be the most consistently challenging terrain. While Big Sky has the hardest terrain, albeit limited to ...

Re: Thursday 02/24/2022 Report
Since the big sky 2025 plan went in place the resort has seen an exponential growth in skier traffic. As of 2020 direct flights run out of major hubs like JFK, Ohare etc. I haven’t gone back since they started charging for the tram. I hear they are trying to compete with the Aspen and Deer Valley ec...

Re: What’s the latest with Covid outbreak with Killington employees?
Snoloco will openly state that he doesn’t think someone living with cancer should have the option of keeping singles out their groups gondola car. Nice. Great look for Snoloco!
Its funny how a kid like snoloco will be a full blow BigJohn in a few years. The kid is SAUCED off the koolaid

Re: 2021/2022 Winter Season Covid Discussion
If it's super cold or dumping out, and some jerk wants the bubble up, there is going to be trouble. There are many ski friends of mine who have Covid recently so leaving the bubble up is the way to go to protect yourself and others. When it was a quad you had no bubble so you rode it anyway. Very r...

Re: 2021/2022 Winter Season Covid Discussion
Your assumptions about myself are off base, ignorant and incorrect. My job requires me to wear a mask at this time, for 8 hours or more. This is not a misfortune, at the most a minor inconvenience. If you view wearing a mask for 8 hours as grounds for pity than you should probably take a step back ...

Re: 2021/2022 Winter Season Covid Discussion
I was mostly there early and late last season. In fact, I wasn't there on any holiday weekends due to Ikon blackouts. I have friends who were there every weekend and observed the same as I did. It's a fact that the Vermont ski industry lost many millions of dollars last season. By supporting the sa...

Re: 2021/2022 Winter Season Covid Discussion
As a younger person on this board who’s vaccinated and boosted ik that COVID statically wouldn’t affect me to badly. However, I actually miss last years parking reservations and mask rules as it kept people away and actually kept lines down. It also kept away a crowd of people who chose to not ski ...
