Re: Masks Outdoors
The science says there's no Covid inside a restaurant. That's why you wear your mask going in but you take it off while you are eating. Everything is fine because the restaurant staff is wearing masks. My favorite one is airplanes. Unlike resturants there is Covid inside the plane that has better v...

Re: Masks Outdoors
Please move this to the political forum.... Will watch this. As of now, I don’t think it’s political. What do others think? As for outdoor masks, let me see if I understand those that think we should be wearing masks outside… it is not OK to be maskless outside when not in close proximity to...

Re: Masks Outdoors
Does anyone know if Killington has lifted the mask requirement now that the CDC issued updated guidance? I'm not sure how the updated guidance would affect the requirement since it still calls for masks in "crowded settings" (I think a busy lift line would be considered a crowded setting)...

Re: Masks Outdoors
The real problem is there's lots of scientists with slightly differing views on what's going on. Actually, I think the real problem is that when people don't like what the scientific community says, they find some lone dissenting quack with a differing view and use that as justification to disregar...

Re: Masks Outdoors
Well I leave the risk assessment to you, this is a free country. I just meant to clarify that from a scientific point of view the risk exists and that there's a rationale based on scientific fact for the updated CDC guidelines (presumably, I am not privy to their discussions. They might roll dice fo...

Re: Masks Outdoors
So now instead of following the science, we should say "f*** them" because what, you don't like what the science says? I am immunized and therefore cannot get covid in a crowd. Well, you THINK you are immunized. You can't really know (or the vaccine would be 100% effective). Your personal...

Re: Masks Outdoors
This is a distorted (read reduced) view of the efficacy of someone who has had the vaccine. Someone who has had the vaccine wants to know the current chances of their getting the disease, not how much their chances have improved over doing nothing. I don't disagree with your statement (we all would...

It also seems weird to me, but it appears to happen quite a bit https://www.npr.org/2018/09/07/644648955/for-older-voters-getting-the-right-id-can-be-especially-tough The article quotes a 2012 survey suggesting that 7% of American adults lack a government ID, and it gives a few examples of why peopl...

Re: NSR: Corona Virus - You Can Start Panicking Now
Vermont had 109 opiate deaths thru Sept. Thru today Covid deaths are at 89. Well sure, and in my household we are at 0/0 (thankfully). But nationwide we had 72k opioid-related deaths in 2019 (enough that it was considered an 'epidemic') and in a few days we'll be at 300k covid deaths (in less than ...

Re: AOC
I don't think it's the schools role to normalize sin. I think it's the schools role to enforce respecting others humanity. If a kid is homosexual then it is what is. Should they get special treatment as a result? I think they should be treated just like any other kid. Just like any other kid they s...
Maybe its semantics. If you're sinning, it's a bad example, it doesn't mean you're a bad person.
I've been biting my keyboard because I don't want to offend anyone, but here is where you lose me. You said that you don't consider being homosexual a sin, only acting upon it (which I ...

Re: AOC
Personally, I believe the New Testament (any version thereof) is a fable. The Old Testament is where it's at. If our book wasn't good enough for you, that's too bad. Sequels and remakes are generally unnecessary and a waste of time and effort. Which do you prefer? Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters II, or ...

Re: AOC
I won't argue with you there. I don't know enough about why each denomination did what it did. My faith is the Bible. We read directly from it. We don't modify it's words, remove words, modify meanings, modernize, stray away from hard topics, etc. I would add that unless you are fluent in Hebrew, G...

Re: Opening Day Trail Roll-out
Well since IQ is normally distributed and if we stick to voters, roughly someone who believes to be of at least average intelligence[emoji16]And by the way, what should we call someone who thinks they are smarter than 70 million other Americans?
