Amen to your amen. Maybe you can hire skiingsnow, if he isn't already connected to Killington. He seems to do a better job doing your job than you do, although that doesn't seem like much of an accomplishment, if you think about it.
How much do they pay you, again? Maybe it's a barter system. Two chickens and one cow per pay period?
Oh, and skiingsnow... "They told you exactly what to expect for season length before passes even went on sale"? Oh, really? Aren't YOU the person responsible for the following quotes?
It just says they are ending all the events in succession by April 13th, and a big party to go out with a bang, but Dave doesn't specifically say that April 13 is the last day of the season, he says all events ending by then, and they will be going out with a bang, bu doesn't say that bang will happen on April 13. Maybe it will, but it doesn't say that they will be going out with a bang on April 13, to me, just my opinion, I could be way wrong, idk. But from my original post in this thread it was just like I thought I remembered, but I think they said the same thing last year about one of the last events of the season, "come say good bye to the season with blah blah blah" But I believe it was weeks before May 6.
And...
The "closing April 13" that people are talking about... where was that said again? The only thing I think I remember is an event that says it will be "the farewell" event or something, they said this last year for one of the last events at bear, that it was a farewell to a great season, but it didn't actually mean the end of the season, it was weeks before May 6.
And...
I think its awesome that they came up with their season's expected opening and closing days... Nov 15ish to April 15ish sounds fine to me, that would only be one week less then last season. And I dont like spring snow, so I really dont care if they reduce the end of the season. And all of these dates are weather dependent, if they could open earlier w/ everyone else then I bet they will, and if they could stay open later due to record breaking late season snowfall like this past season, then I bet they will stay open later too... It all goes back to the underpromise and over deliver idea. They aren't going to promise early Nov to early May, even with the weather dependent line, because if thats not what was able to happen because of the weather, people will still be pissed and say they didn't do enough.
You wrote ALL of these AFTER the pass prices were announced. So, for God's sake, PLEASE don't lecture the rest of us on what K-Marketing did or did not tell us "exactly what to expect" before, during, or shortly after the pass prices were announced. Even YOU had your own ever-shifting interpretations and faith-based predictions of what the
actual opening and closing dates might be.
The only difference now is that, with X number of passes already sold and X number of dollars in revenue already pocketed, K-Marketing has only
now publically finally revealed the REAL honest-to-God opening and closing dates.
So, does your Killington nametag actually say "skiingsnow", or does it display your real name?
