Sorry, but I've never bought anyone's self-reported snow totals. Pure marketing BS...

And yet, what does that get you? I haven't been overly impressed with the natural conditions. The reality is that 211 inches is most likely BS to begin with, but even if it were accurate what has it gotten us? I mean is an 18 inch storm total really 18 inches when it r*ins out in the middle or towards the end and either washes it away or make it cement? Look at Sugarloaf for instance they have 80 inch base depths in areas (yes I know snowmaking), but they have maybe recieved 150 inches so far......most likely closer to 125........not sure though.

Actually, they've consistantly under reported snowfall this year.....12" reported usually means 1-1/2 ft+ in most places on the hill.

That said, we have had alot of r*in wiping out base. But it is deep out there right now, lots of stuff is covered.

I have no issues with what they report for totals. Been pretty accurate. It will have to be one sucktacular 2nd half for me to win the snowfall contest. I hope I lose big!

ur missin the point of the thread. 211" has been pretty accurate too, just so u know. its gotten us a pretty solid base and its only the start of february. the mountain is 100% open. an 18" storm is 18". although we lost a ton of snow around xmas, i certainly will never forget those 4 days before that. that snow was lighter than the 40"+ that i just skied in utah. btw, ur glass is half empty. get a new one.
