Re: OT: Things to do In Philly?
Agree that they are all over the U.S. I think you see a lot of them in philly because PA apparently has pretty strict rules on liq licenses. It is def one of the great aspects to philly's fantastic restaurant scene. Also, I never heard of a stem charge either, often there is a corking charge ($5) bu...

Re: OT: Things to do In Philly?
Being from philly, i have some suggestions for food as I saw people mentioned buddakan. I ate there and feel it is so so. I highly recommend Amada which is located on chestnut between 2nd and 3rd. best food in philly! I realize this is a little late, but didnt see the post til now. If that is not do...

Re: Best Thermals/Under Layers
I use patagonia capilene as my baselayer. I love the stuff and then i wear an R4 fleece on top of that. I have never been cold while skiing. The stuff is great.
Re: Thursday
The second time, we were getting on with a chickie Ambassador on tele gear in between us. The chair seat was all iced up and they really bumped it as it loaded. I was on the right hand side and slid right off the seat. I opted to bail out to the right rather than try to haul myself back on. Mister ...

Check out this site to shed some light on this. Looks like these are false, however, my sis-in-law is a lawyer and was once telling me about some actual suits that they studied in law school and they were just as ridiculous or even worse!

Head For the Hills
Can anyone comment? I am a big fan of their movies, but just wondering if this one is worth the buy. I liked snow gods a lot, but wasnt as big a fan of Wunderland - too much park action for my liking. Either way , i will probably buy it just to support some east coaster's but I was just looking for ...

Re: What is the impact/reach of Kzone?
I rarely post, but check out the board for updates on the current mountain conditions as well as new mountain happenings up at k - and especially like the pics posted as they give me a realistic expectation of whether I should make a 6 hour trip up friday after work. I utilize kzone as my killington...

Re: Mount Snow Surrendering!
Has it really come to competing with mt snow??? I will not lower myself to that low level. It'd be like if the national championship was Texas vs. Boise St. - two completely different caliber teams playing on the same field. I agree Mt snows administration is doing a pretty good job but in the end i...

Re: Sunday River Night Skiing This Season.
I agree rams head would likely be the most convenient and logical place for night skiing. However, just like SR, there is not much in the form of terrain. SR is offering nothing above an intermediate level. I suppose this would be fine for visiting/lodging families and kids, but not enough to draw d...

Re: So you think Killington's Peak lodge is bad?
I'm not a carpenter, but I'd say the foundation looks solid, but what were they thinking with the building material for the rest - exposed 2x4's? I"m likely out of my league in discussing matter such as these - but i agree it looks like crap
Re: Steep
sweet, def looking forward to watching!
Steep
Anyone ever see the movie STEEP ? I remember it being played at the Ritz Theaters here in Philly last winter, but never made it out to watch. Apparently it is a ski documentary of extreme skiing. I have that coming next in my netflix queue along with a sleuth of other ski movies perfectly timed for ...
