Re: Killington Backside
Stormchaser, I have some great intel for you, just PM me if you want the goods. I used to regularly ski the backside via shuttle laps. You can get from k-1 to your car on wheelerville in about 40 minutes with a 5 minute hike involved.. PM for the details and directions to the sweet lines and more......

Re: Juggernaut
Are there any glade shots that are worth the effort off the upper Jug? I've heard rumors. It's the only 'in bound' area I've never figured out. Don't expect anyone to tell secrets here - just a question in general. Noticed some tracks in there Saturday. Also heard that there was some Irene damage a...

Re: Lost Skiers/Riders
I didn't hear about the lost skiers but when I came out from the backside on wheelervile to the car today there was state police hanging out in the parking lot waiting for lost skiers. Apparently two people went out of bounds off of Pico and are lost back there. This was around 6pm tonight. And so i...

Re: Mayan ski season winds down
I was thinking of coming up tonight to ski tomorrow, but NWS is forecasting strong and damaging winds. Do you think any lifts will turn on Friday or is this truly going to be the end of our world as we know it??? I'll be making the trek up Friday AM. If the world ends I'd rather be at K than in my ...

Re: 12/6 Condtions
Take it easy Friday evening on your way up here. Saturday looks real good. Really? Friday A chance of sleet, mainly after 4pm. Cloudy, with a high near 32. Wind chill values as low as -1. Windy, with a southwest wind 23 to 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expec...

Re: Devil's Fiddle area
i destroyed a binding and gashed the bottom of my ski coming down the devil's fiddle lift line. i blame barnibus. Wasn't that on the run out? It was on the flat just after the liftline. I remember the double eject to somersault clearly. I take no responsibility for your actions, destroyed equipment ...

Re: 12/13 Complain about out of control ski/riders thread
Basically there is nothing that can be done by any resort owner/management to stop this situation and it is an inevitable thing. It is not like the resort can have each skier/rider take a skills assessment and limit them to terrain suitable for their skills. The problem comes when people disregard th...

Re: Power Straps
Just bought a pair of Deeluxe snowboard boots that came standard with power-straps. I have to say, it is a totally different feel and I don't think I will ever go back to a pair of boots without them for most types of riding. The response level is much higher and I feel a higher level of control. T...

Re: How many days in a skiers Lifetime?
I feel there really is no limit. It all depends on your passion for the sport. I am only 23 but have snowboarded almost 1000 days so far and and no where close to even considering having a limit. For me I would have to visit every major ski area in the world to even consider hanging up the board. And...
