Re: Toughest double black in the east?
If that was gunbarrel, try top of Ovation when you can jump / slide into it or ski over the top of the trees. Lower O is about that steep with limited grooming and at least 3 times in length. Vertigo headwall EATS silly skiers and riders when conditions permit. Yes, it is the length of Lower Ovatio...

Re: Saturday 2/25 Reports
I was at pico today. The summit quad made an awful noise, it stopped, and they had to evac everyone from it. We lapped outpost from the lower quad after that, it was nice over there. That chair is not opening, no snow on the ramp or anything

Re: Pico Adventure Center... Is No More
Been hitting that place since the 80's. This past summer hit it like 3 or 4 times. My sister owns property up here now and she has young kids. Its too bad, but it is true there was nobody there. That slide was fun, and dangerous(most really fun things are right). The Bromley alpine slide has always ...

Re: Bear Mountain Likely Closed Today
Mad River Glens Single broke down a few years ago. It was serious mechanical failure. They worked with the lift company(who even makes a single chair??). It broke down mid afternoon one day, they had to evac everyone with ropes. By midday the next day the lift company came and fixed the lift. I find...

Re: Walloped @ K
Sorry to hear about that. I have broken both collarbones(ultimate frisbee). One time it was my fault, the other time someone elses. I was bitter when someone else caused it. Try and let go of the bitterness, it will not help at all. Clearly this was an accident that could have been averted. It makes...

Re: Thursday Morning...UGH!!
Obviously from reading your posts I meant to say you are are that guy who brings his young kids to the movies, has the chairlift slow down and would lay lunch out on the hood of someones car and wonder why the owner got mad at him. I have met you many times without ever meeting you. WOW, got to lov...

Re: October 2nd, 1992 - who was there?
I was in College from 89-93 close by. We tried to head up that day in 1992 but got pulled over by a state cop right before the access rode and our driver had something illegal on him and got taken in(it was his vehicle). We never made it that day. Now 1993 as mentioned was an insane year. Over sprin...

Re: LIVE REPORTS HERE?
One gripe, and very minor, is that they pre-closed (that's what the patrol called) the slope at 3:30 pm. So the advertised 4 pm close is for the downhill gondola ride, not the slopes. The slopes were roped off at 3:30. K managers if you are reading this, that was kind of annoying. I thought I still...

Re: No reports for today yet?
Today was unreal, and the story was not rime, which indeed did have a good bump line on skiers left. The story was everything else. People were skiing EVERYTHING. I do not know if its taboo to discuss these things on this board but I come here to find out whats going on, and thats what was going on....
